Muse Developments’ One City Place continues to gather momentum as the most significant new commercial development for professional services in Chester city centre, with the announcement of another letting.
National commercial law firm, Excello Law, has taken office space at the Grade A, BREEAM ‘Excellent’-rated scheme and will move its team in early January 2017.
Excello Law, which also has offices in London, Liverpool and Leeds, will be situated in Suite A on the ground floor at One City Place on a 10-year lease. With a national team of nearly 80 lawyers, it’s anticipated that up to 10 lawyers and support staff will initially be based in Chester, allowing further space to expand in line with Excello Law’s expansion plans.
Phil Mayall, development director at Muse, said: “Excello Law is the third organisation to take space in the building in the last three months and with more lettings in the pipeline, One City Place is really starting to fill up. We look forward to welcoming the firm to Chester in the New Year and to making further lettings announcements about the scheme in the coming weeks.”
George Bisnought, managing director of Excello Law, said: “One City Place is a fantastic development and we are very pleased to be opening our newest office there. This development supports our expansion plans across the region and offers both our team, and our clients, a fantastic space to work and meet.
“City Place is in a superb location, with the railway station right on the doorstep. The whole area has a buzz about it and we’re delighted to be moving in.”
CBRE and GVA are joint agents at City Place, GVA acted for Muse on the deal.
City Place is part funded by a £4.8m development loan from the North West Evergreen Fund and a further £1.4m grant from the European Regional Development Fund.
