Chester gets ready for the Makers Market

Wow! What a superb response to our announcement of Chester Makers Market!…. 

We are packed full to the rafters of more than 85 stall holders signed up and excitement is now building…..

Here is a little palette taster of what is in store for you at The Chester Makers Market on Saturday April 22nd….

Calling all Northern Foodies, Pie Police, Northern Craft enthusiasts, Good Vibe Seekers, Families, The Romantics, Antique rummagers and those on the hunt for a good old Saturday trip out…. 

Do not look any further! – The Makers Market is set to drop anchor in Chester!

And what an incredible day we have planned for you, with more than 85 of the very finest artisan traders showcasing at The Carriage Shed you will not be disappointed by the choice on offer. 

There is a superb selection of amazing and tantalising foods, arts, design, vintage, drinks and street food, performance, and music. 

The Makers Market is the perfect place to shop and mooch and just spend some time with the people who matter. 

Pop along and join us, it is a superb opportunity to find out the origins of your food, meet the maker, feast your eyes upon some goodies and fill those shopping bags whilst indulging in some good conversations with our team and traders. 

Get ready for some blow your head off chilli’s sauces from the award winning Bongo Chillis, check out the spicy and sweet flavours of Cheshire Cheese, guaranteed to make your tongue tingle. 

There will be fill your boots treats from awesome artisans such as Cheshire Cheesecakes, Dormouse Chocolates, Weenie Bakes and Ian Treats Bake Shop. 

The Pie Police won’t be disappointed with handmade pies from Pie Love and Pudding and Pie. Check out the black pudding slices from Cumbrian Pie and the South African biltong from Weston Biltong bringing some sunshine to our Northern skies. 

Dan will be stuffing fantastic things into bread buntzels, and French Corner will be on hand with fresh from the ovens bread and baguettes. 

Pop along and chat to Danielle from Orchard Pate, celebrity chef Sean Wilson ( AKA Martin Platt from Corrie ) will be joining us with his Saddleworth Cheeses and chat to La Picanteria with his dried chilli plants ready to stock up your larders. 

With Mezze from The Big House of Olives, old family recipes from award winning Really Indian, Gluten free pies from Pie Parlour and sausages from Grandads Sausages there is something for everyones shopping list. 

There will even be treats for our four legged friends…. be sure to grab them something yummy from local lady The Cookie Lab Dog Treats. 

If Art Design floats your boat, we have a whole stack of awesome Northern Artists built to inspire. Such as Raggie Annies Fairtrade, Eggbert and Daisy, Devil Design, Indriftic, Roadodendrons, Tipsy Hedgehog, Arty Sally and Top Chick to name a few.

Don’t miss the retro headbands of Okay Cokey and the up-cycled awesomeness of local Chester business Palace Darling. Get yourself Summer picnic ready and have a gander at Yorkshire Blankets and check out the fantastic ceramics of our potter Will Broughton. 

If you’re looking for some warming street food swing by the street food area which will be a melting pot of smells, colours and sounds. 

Check out the bratwurst from In The Dog Haus, the sweet potato fries from Oh My Glaze and the Bad Boy Burgers from What’s Your Beef. 

Second City Coffee will be dishing out the brews which freshly roasted coffee and if you fancy something with a little more kick pop along and visit Rose Cottage Gins for a tipple.
