Muse Developments sponsors prestigious Chester business event for second year

Developers behind Chester’s new business quarter have been announced as sponsors for the High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise 2015.

For the second year, Muse Developments is supporting the prestigious awards which celebrate business excellence in the region.

There is just a year to go until the launch of the first phase of City Place which will feature a 70,000 sq ft six-storey building nestled in the new Central Business Quarter. The scheme is part funded by a £4.8m development loan from the North West Evergreen Fund and a further £1.4m grant funding from the European Regional Development Fund.

City Place will drive economic growth in Chester and transform the city’s commercial offering. By 2028, it is planned that City Place will offer up to 440,000 sq ft of state-of-the art office space housed within seven office blocks, creating around 3,500 jobs.

Phil Mayall, development director for Muse Developments, said: “These awards showcase outstanding businesses across Cheshire, Warrington and Halton and we’re pleased to be able to offer our support to them once again.

“It is clear to see that the area has a wealth of talent within the business community which is part of the reason why we’re speculatively building this development to support this. We wish all of the shortlisted companies the best of luck.”

The winners will be announced at a presentation evening on March 26th, 2015 in the stunning surroundings of Chester Town Hall. Guests will include business leaders, judges and the finalists. This year’s guest speakers will be Professor Phil Redmond CBE, who received an honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Chester in 2010 and Mrs Alexis Redmond MBE.
